yes, that is how the game should be played: 'please, don't submit.' Can't just give up, cuz that'll ruin it: how are the rest of us supposed to keep the game going if one player leaves before it's done? that messes with the whole game board. a player can't leave until the very end, otherwise he/she's a sourpuss and now how are we gonna end the game?

when i finally become a LOL, i can't even imagine how i'll think of all that comes at 'the very end.'

"I haven’t lived in your shoes. Your heart has not lived in my chest. [...]
But the gulf between thinking about it and being there is vast."
yes. i have lived in my own shoes and the same hearts always lived in this chest. and i know, when i get there i'll still be too shook up to really consider my cards.
i'll probably get my doctor and anybody sees me all shook up and upset as well.

(My parents have already lived the first half of their lives; i don't know if/how i'll ever let them go. *oh, and yes, as an 18yr old i'll admit, seeing my dad lose to others in a game of monopoly is pretty damn upsetting **ohh yea, your daughter will DEFINITELY still 'give a crap' about you ^^ for sure, no doubt, hand o' god hisself! )

"She would call my bluff anyways. I keep my game face up."
Scott, i salute you.

My granddaughter (16) still doesn't like to see her dad lose when they're in a game with other people and will tear up when it happens. She's so tenderhearted towards him. Although, when it's just the two of them, she does play to win!

I haven't commented lately but I do like reading your entries!

Tracy, we've never finished a game of Monopoly (it takes soooo long), so we've never actually kept track of our money. Sun Su is a real challenge in first person shooting games for me though (Halo 3 and The Club are his favorites). I can edge out a win many times, but he knows the game mechanics in Halo 3 so much better than I do and he is a real terror in that arena.

Dongseng, thank you. I couldn't put the whole discussion but you understood the gist of it.

Jeanetta, I've seen both ends of the spectrum.
