Jeanetta, the party was alright. Sun Su sat in my lap for much of it and I read the rules for his new Bakugan game, so at least I had something to do.

Tracy, this isn't exactly a scientific list, but in my opinion someone might be an alcoholic if:
1) You have "six for the road."
2) People can only tell when you're NOT drunk.
3) Your friends or family look the opposite of happy when you bring booze.
4) Beer is breakfast and dinner. You skip lunch.
5) Your little kids mix your favorite drinks (as seen on Mad Men).
6) Holidays are an excuse not to drink alone.
7) You never wonder if you drink too much but you do wonder why people keep saying you do.

Sil, that's what I keep telling Amy! :-D Actually my kids are the relatively pale ones because that's what happens when you add "white" to the palette.

Bonnie, those are just cut-outs of hand tracings of the kids. I think they learned it at school (to make Thanksgiving turkeys) and they wanted to do them at home again.

I clicked on the picture of you and the kids with the tree. I wanted to see the hands on the tree closer. :-) What is the story behind those?

I'm glad our family never had holiday parties or gatherings with alcohol. I know at least 1 who would of embibed. Mom would never admit she is an alcoholic.

:chuckle: I think you did well to survive a party with the in-laws. However, you definitely have the cutest kids! Don't let anyone tell you different. All their cousins are just pale imitations.

The Helly Kitty organizer sounds so cute! (I looked it up after reading this, Amy always gets me interested in things-- still planning on the digital perm when my hair is longer.) You've made me curious now on how much one has to drink to get the assessment you talked about ("early cirrhosis in ten years..."). I've been good about alcohol intake over the holidays so far... whew! Happy Holidays to you and the fam!

Those babies with feeble neck control are definitely slow, thank goodness, because Im sure that in their little minds have HUGE plans for the destruction of the large beings that force them to drink stinky formula like Alimentum. *shudders*

Overall, things sound as though they went well, very good :)
