Well I grew up with an alcoholic father but instead of abandoning us, he abused my family. So... I suppose abandonment is the lesser of those two evils. Maybe?

Somehow... I've been able to get over it enough to enjoy alcohol consumption without the addiction or personality changes.

But seriously... a little Soju makes your penis burn? TMI

eruscitti validated from the outside something Scott observed. I think he needs to be given the slack to do so.

They say the accomplishments of the children are established in the disappointments of the parents. If only perfect people were allowed to have children, who would the continuation of the human race be based on, and what makes their ancestors so different from the people who don't qualify?

Cindy, self-medicating, that's what they call it. It doesn't bother me now though; the show was just an unexpected reminder.

Jackie, I thank you for your concern and insight.

Kim, Amy has one saying, "Beauty is pain."

Danny, I don't mind being out with my friends when they are drinking, so you can get hammered all you want around me. The only thing that would annoy me would be if you tried getting into a fight with everyone or started calling everyone sluts and whores. Don't puke or pee in my car either. Thanks in advance.

scott, you DID get me there. you're very good with confucius sayings. right off the cuff, very nice! my husband and i like to see who can out confucize (made up word of course) each other. it all began with me saying one day, with all seriousness intended, "one can't know pleasure without pain." the hus broke out laughing. and when he got himself under control he came back with, "ancient chinese proverb..." needless to say i felt silly.:P
