Melanie, thanks. I hadn’t heard of that comic before, but I looked it up. If it doesn’t have tights or big boobs, it passes under my radar. (With the exception of anything written by Willingham or Sturges.)

Eric, yes, I am definitely a fan of Fables and Jack of Fables. I just read Fables 74 yesterday. I love Willingham’s use of magic and military tactics. I’ve enjoyed all of the stories but this one really does seem more epic, as if the series is about to close the fairy tale book on magic itself. I’ve been a huge fan of Willingham since his Elementals and AD&D drawing days when I was in high school. I was very happy to see him rise to a level of fame and recognition he always deserved.

Maybe in ms paint, you can copy the double-e in feeling and paste it onto where it should be in volunteering. You can even include a portion of the L and overlap it with the portion corresponding in the R.

Fables seems to trend to politically reactionary, which seems to flatten-out the drama. It worked when Pinochio demonstrated an awe of mundy technology, but it’s harder to relate to the fables when they shake off shell-shock with so little consequences. I think Buckingham saved the series by encouraging the series’s focus on flycatcher, nurturing the “Good Night” storyline. They’re a good team. (Although rumors DC encourages rape-portrayals in their comics kinda made the rape-portrayal in 1001 nights of snowfall seem that much more gratuitous.)
