The date is wrong (new camera) and I look fat.

Sorry, I haven’t been able to update much lately. Good news is, my former patient did not have TB, so neither do I. Bad news, I caught another cold again, which is not a huge surprise when you factor in children, abrupt weather changes, staying up all night on call, and then staying up all night because you’re happy you’re not on call.

So true.

Stress has been a factor, as I’ve never actually seen a hospital infrastructure implode before, but I am seeing it now. I interviewed for a more stable position yesterday. It’s a more corporate group, but I am used to working for the dark side; I spent five years working with The Empire (any large impersonal corporation structure or hospital qualifies as The Empire). I’d still be doing the same hospitalist work, minus some freedom and spoils. The freelancing rebel group I’ve been with these past four years is falling apart, and the imperials offer stability and benefits. Behind every stormtrooper mask is a man who has a family to think of.
