The first 15 minutes did not grab my attention, if anything it just annoyed me. I was expecting something along the lines of the opening to Temple of Doom, but I got an opening that reminded me too much of Flash Gordon in the 1950's, just way too campy. There were parts of the movie that did have geniune moments where you forgot that Harrison Ford is way way way old. But the ending was disappointing, the story was weak. Much like Rambo IV, it should never be boxed up in a DVD collection with the first three. We watched it at the drive - in. Amy loves that pogo stick. Dongseng, I did like how the movie updated the character and his history - there were nods back to his romance with Marion of course, Indy's father, Marcus Brody, the Lost Ark. The cinematography was purposely modelled on the original films (unlike the new vs old Star Wars movies). I don't think you are alone in having a crush on Shia.
