Jeanetta, Ender's Game is science fiction though, haha.

Erika, so the truth comes out. Behind every good man is a woman with a plan.

Jackie, they are growing so fast. It is hard to keep up with.

Dongseng, Sun Su asked me why Ooseung's eyes always look like they're sleeping when she laughs, hahaha! She is very silly and crazy, just like her ummah.

I just can't believe how grown up your babies are already. Man, it's true what they say: The days are long but the years are short.

And the cycle continues. I made Rick read Ender's Game, he got you into it, and now you've bestowed it upon Amy. Who might she pass it on to? NOBODY KNOOOOWS. O_O

Many years ago, in a time barely remembered, the son of a then-coworker loaned me "Ender's Game" and helped cement my belief that there is intelligent life in the teenage universe, no matter how it hides itself away sometimes. :)

Rasee, at least you got something out of that relationship. You geek. :-)

Paul, "Toy guns don’t kill kids, parents who catch them playing with them do." I like that.

Jen, I'm converted! Hopefully Amy will be too.

Rick, I must thank you again for recommending Ender's Game. With all your belts now, you are a true MIXED martial artist, haha. I hated cutting the grass too so I don't think I'll be leading by example for Sun Su. As for the comments, I have to approve them, so there's usually a delay especially if I'm at work. I just want to keep out the trolls and a few (dozen) people I've burned/banned on forums over the years.

Joy, there's hardly any scifi in it in my opinion. It's basically about a boy genius that plays games, who has to grow up too fast and may or may not save the human race.

Bonnie, Amy recently started reading Jane Eyre but she didn't mind at all when I replaced it with Ender's Game on her nightstand. Her favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird but she doesn't read much other than her beauty magazines (her words). Bonnie bustin' caps - that cracks me up!

Eric, I've read your journal. You are the Lord of the Geeks. :-D

My wife calls me a geek, but I have never read a book by Orson Scott Card. Does that mean that I need to forfeit my membership from the club? Great desktop wallpaper by the way.

Weird, my comment didn't stick.

She doesn't look happy there, but I'm thrilled at another convert!

Man...what happened to kids being lazy and disrespectful?! Why when *I* was a kid, I had to be asked SEVENTEEN TIMES to cut the grass. And I bitched about it the WHOOOLEE TIIMMEEE. Kids today.

...actually I'm still kind of lazy and disrespectful.

What does Amy like to read that you wouldn't? lol

Kid with the gun reminded me of my days of a cap pistol, though I spent more time banging caps with a hammer on the sidewalk. Love that smell of, what was packed in those little round caps? rotfl

I might have to pick up that book at some point. I HATE science fiction (don't hate me) and would be completely turned off by a cover of spaceships. But if Amy is okay with it, I'll give it a fair shot.
