We're all sick of the snow and cold. But whatcha gonna do? It's Michigan. Next week it

Great idea on the snow fort -- using the plastic bucket to mold the cubes. Wish I'd thought of something like this when I was a kid, as I made many of them to pass away the time.

Here's to warmer and sunnier skies in the very near future in the land of Michigan. It can't happen soon enough to my liking.

Jackie, that's actually Amy's hat but Sun Su is okay with it.

Jeanetta, even better is when you get paged at 2 a.m. for normal lab results.

Hi Melanie, thanks for chiming in! Amy used a plastic bucket to make the snow bricks. That wall took her a half hour to make, and the kids destroyed it within five minutes.

Bonnie, Amy sets up the plastic egg hunts every month per the kids' requests. For Ooseung's birthday, she did a plastic egg hunt for the kids. Sun Su had a majority of the eggs within a minute because he already knew where the high-yield egg-hiding spots were.

So nice to see someone dying eggs as we used to. Now egg hunts consist of plastic eggs. But the snow fort, how on earth did they make that?

Man. I'm sorry that you have to deal with this, Scott -- being a physician is a vital and important job, but so is being a parent, and you are obviously working hard at being good in both positions.

The kids look absolutely adorable in their snow fort, though -- what did they use to make the snow cylinders?

This entry illustrates why I always tell coworkers that just because a doc is on call doesnt mean he WANTS to be called and that it had better be something important after 11pm or so or I won't bother him.

Patients insisting at 2am that they need a chapstick or a laxative can nearly always be distracted enough and made happy enough by something else to wait til 7am for it if we just try..

I like that Sun Su is secure enough in his masculinity to wear Hello Kitty on his hat!
