It never ends.

My little boy is almost 6-years old and he still won’t go to sleep by himself. I don’t really mind laying down with him. It’s bonding time. When the time comes that he doesn’t need me to go to sleep with him, what’s next? Preferring to play Halo 3 alone because I might slow him down? Et tu, Master Chief?

Tonight while I was laying in bed with him, I got paged. I returned the call in the dark, then Sun Su whispered something and left to go to sleep with Amy. This is starting to happen whenever I’m on call. Even worse, it has happened a couple of times I didn’t even have my pager with me. After laying for a while, he’s asked if he could lay with umma instead … just out of habit. Ouch. Talk about friendly fire.

Like I need another reason to hate being on call or this “glamorous physician lifestyle” in general.

Here’s some of the good stuff from this past week at least. Pajamas, Easter eggs, and snow forts.

The snow fort that Amy built.

I think the “snow in April thing” is getting to Sun Su too.
